Kevin M. Florenz | Director of Capital Asset Valuation Services
Kevin M. Florenz is a Director with VMG Health and oversees the Capital Asset Services Division. Mr. Florenz has over 21 years of experience providing valuations for domestic and international transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions and other financial reporting requirements, which include goodwill impairment and long-lived asset impairment. He has performed valuations for federal and international tax purposes, including purchase price allocations, international tax strategies and debt forgiveness. Mr. Florenz has also performed valuation engagements for due diligence purposes, secured lending transactions, leasing transactions, property tax appeal, litigation and bankruptcy proceedings, insurance and property records management.
Mr. Florenz has served clients across many different industries including healthcare, broadcasting, industrial manufacturing, mining, paper, plastics, printing, semiconductor manufacturing, steel manufacturing, telecommunications, textiles and transportation (aircraft, rail, marine, trucking).
Healthcare valuation clients served by Mr. Florenz include hospitals, physician practices, ASC’s, cath labs, imaging centers, oncology treatment centers and research facilities. He has also performed building componentization analysis for research facilities.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Mr. Florenz was a Managing Director for CBIZ Valuation Group and was responsible for managing the Capital Asset Practice. Prior to joining CBIZ, Kevin was Managing Principal of Peritus Valuation Advisory Services, which he founded in 2005. He has also been Managing Director for American Appraisal, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for DoveBid Valuation Services, Inc. and National Practice Leader – Tangible Assets for KPMG LLP. Mr. Florenz has also worked for Ernst & Young LLP in the Valuation Group and began his valuation career with The CIT Group in its Equipment Management Group projecting residual values on various types of equipment for lease transactions.
Mr. Florenz graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from St. Bonaventure University. He has completed several equipment leasing association programs, including an introduction to equipment leasing and the basics of residual forecasting.
Mr. Florenz is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers.
