Chris Gauvin | Manager, CPA
Chris Gauvin is a Manager at VMG Health and is based in the Dallas office. Mr. Gauvin specializes in providing valuation, transaction advisory services and financial reporting assistance to the healthcare industry. Mr. Gauvin has a broad range of national expertise pertaining to healthcare entities such as physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers and various other types of entities. Clients include large public health systems, development companies across several healthcare industry sub-specialties and other privately held entities.
Mr. Gauvin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Carleton University and a Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining VMG Health, Mr. Gauvin spent five years with Deloitte. During this time he provided financial advisory service services to Fortune 500 and other multinational firms on various pre and post deal valuation issues including purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, fixed income/preferred stock valuation, stock option valuation, and valuation pertaining to various other financial instruments and corporate entities. Mr. Gauvin is licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPA and is currently pursuing an ASA designation.
Alexandra Higgins | Manager
Alexandra Higgins is a Manager in the Professional Services Agreement Division of VMG Health. She specializes in the valuation of management fees, billing and collection fees, co-management compensation and shared savings arrangement. Ms. Higgins’ recent related experience includes the valuation of a multiple contracts related to joint venture between a health system and an imaging center owner/operator with over 30 imaging centers. Additionally, Ms. Higgins has been involved in consulting and valuation services related to quality and shared savings distributions for clinical integration networks or mini-accountable care organizations.
Ms. Higgins received a Bachelor of Science in International Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Christian University. She is actively attending business valuation courses offered by the American Society of Appraisers and has recently been published in Health Care Compliance Today and ImagingBiz.
Corey Palasota, CFA | Manager
Corey Palasota is a Manager at VMG Health in the Dallas office. In addition to providing valuation and transaction advisory services, Mr. Palasota is also involved in the firm’s proprietary research and management consulting initiatives. Through his involvement in over 140 transactions ranging in value from several hundred thousand to several billion, his valuation experience spans numerous sub-industries within healthcare. Mr. Palasota also assists in certain accounting related valuation services such as purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment testing.
Mr. Palasota received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Honors from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to VMG Health, Mr. Palasota was an analyst at a hedge fund where he performed valuation and due diligence on the firm’s concentrated investments. He has obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute and has also attended numerous seminars regarding valuation complexities within the healthcare industry.
Colin Park | Manager
Colin Park is a Manager at VMG Health in the Dallas office. He specializes in providing financial, valuation and transaction advisory services to the firm’s healthcare clients. His clients include health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals, oncology centers, diagnostic imaging centers, dialysis centers, physicians groups and numerous other ancillary healthcare service businesses.
Mr. Park is also a research associate and collaborator in the development and publication of the Intellimarker Multi-Specialty ASC Benchmarking Study published annually by VMG Health. The Intellimarker presents hundreds of operating and financial benchmarking statistics using data from approximately 200 ambulatory surgery centers from around the country.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Mr. Park worked as a Senior Associate in the Planning and Financial Group at Greystone Communities, Inc. and as an analyst in the Tangible Asset Group in Financial Advisory Services at Houlihan Lokey.
Mr. Park received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, a Certificate in International Business and a Masters of Real Estate Finance from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Additionally, Mr. Park is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and an Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
Adam Portacci | Manager
Adam Portacci is a Manager at VMG Health in the Dallas office. He focuses on providing business valuation and transaction advisory services in the healthcare industry. His valuation experience includes physician practices, acute care and specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers, and radiation therapy centers. Mr. Portacci’s recent related experience includes the valuations of a specialty women’s hospital and a hospital system development and management company.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Mr. Portacci worked in healthcare administration at Community Health Systems, Inc. affiliated hospitals, serving on the hospital executive teams as an Assistant Administrator at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland, Tennessee and an Administrative Specialist at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee. He began his career with AIM Healthcare Services, Inc. providing claims resolution services to healthcare systems in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Portacci earned both a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. He is actively pursuing the Certified Public Accountant credential, the Accredited in Business Valuation credential through the American Institute of CPA’s, and business valuation courses through the American Society of Appraisers.
Stephen Schulte | Manager
Stephen Schulte is a Manager at VMG Health and is based in the Nashville office. His focus has been on developing client relationships and providing valuation, transaction advisory and consulting services in the healthcare services industry. Mr. Schulte has broad experience working with physician practices, physical therapy centers, ambulatory surgery centers, inpatient rehabilitation centers, specialty/surgical hospitals and diagnostic imaging segments. Mr. Schulte also has significant understanding of clinical compensation arrangements. His clients include for-profit and not-for-profit health systems and other publicly owned and privately held healthcare entities.
Prior to joining VMG Health, he worked in the banking industry and became Series 6 and Series 63 licensed. Mr. Schulte received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Iowa State University College of Business. He has also completed the business valuation courses offered by the American Society of Appraisers and is pursuing the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation and the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
Matthew Strother | Manager
Matthew Strother is a Manager at VMG Health based out of the Dallas Office. He assists clients with a variety of business valuation and financial consulting services including minority & controlling equity valuations, financial feasibility analysis, transaction consulting services, pro-forma cash flow modeling and ASC 805 Business Combinations purchase price allocation analysis (formerly SFAS 141R). Mr. Strother works with healthcare clients across a variety of sub-industries including ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers, radiation therapy centers, urgent care clinics, general acute care hospitals, long term acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, surgical hospitals, dialysis centers, chemo infusion clinics and physician practices. Mr. Strother holds a degree in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
William Teague | Manager
William Teague is a Manager based in the Nashville Office. Mr. Teague specializes in providing valuation, transaction advisory and consulting services to the healthcare Industry. He has experience working with acute care hospitals, healthcare technology companies, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging facilities, physician practices and numerous other ancillary service businesses. In addition, Mr. Teague has performed valuations of financial derivatives such as warrants, options and other contracts as well as specific intangible assets including health system trade names. He also has an extensive background in physician compensation arrangements.
Mr. Teague graduated summa cum laude and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is eligible to receive the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation upon completion of the required work experience. In addition, Mr. Teague is currently pursuing the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation.
Bridget Triepke, CPA | Manager
Bridget Triepke, CPA is a Manager with VMG Health and is based in the Dallas office. She has six years of experience performing valuation and financial advisory engagements for the purposes of financial reporting compliance, tax planning and merger and acquisition planning.
Mrs. Triepke is a part of VMG Health’s accounting related valuation services team. She has performed numerous purchase price allocations related to ASC 805, Business Combinations (formerly SFAS 141R) where she has valued the following intangible assets: trade names and trademarks, customer relationships, non-compete agreements, patented and unpatented technology, contracts and trained workforce. Additionally, Mrs. Triepke has performed numerous valuations to assist clients with their annual impairment testing as required by ASC 350, Intangibles—Goodwill and Other.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Mrs. Triepke was a manager in KPMG’s Economic & Valuation Services practice. While at KPMG, she participated in numerous U.S. and international valuation and advisory engagements while performing valuations of control and minority interests in both public and privately held entities, oil and gas reserves and intangible assets. Mrs. Triepke also spent one year at a hedge fund assisting in the management of a $2.0 billion energy portfolio under a long/short strategy. She was the primary analyst covering 15 mid- and large-cap oil and gas service companies.
Mrs. Triepke is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University. Mrs. Triepke is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jonathan Tyroch | Manager
Jonathan Tyroch is a Manager at VMG Health and has provided valuation, transaction advisory and operational consulting services to clients across multiple healthcare segments. He has experience with ambulatory surgery centers, physician practice, physical therapy, specialty, long term and acute care hospital, radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging segments. Mr. Tyroch also has experience in joint venture development and sell-side transaction advisory. His clients include for-profit and not-for-profit health systems, ancillary services providers, development and other publicly owned and privately held healthcare entities.

Ben Ulrich | Manager, CVA
Ben Ulrich is a Manager in the Professional Service Agreements division at VMG Health and is based in the Dallas office. His focus is providing valuation and consulting services for professional service arrangements within the healthcare services industry. He has particular expertise in valuations relating to on-call coverage, physician administrative and executive services, clinical compensation, subsidy coverage, management, billing, development and quality initiatives.
Prior to joining the Professional Service Agreements division, Mr. Ulrich worked in VMG Health’s Business Valuation division where he provided valuation services related to hospitals, specialty / surgical hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, diagnostic imaging centers and single and multi-specialty physician practices, among others.
Mr. Ulrich graduated summa cum laude and holds a bachelor of business administration degree in financial consulting from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Mr. Ulrich is currently designated as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
